KRR Radio barbecue

Community radio members from KRR and their families enjoyed an end-of-year barbecue under the trees at the Rylstone Showground before Christmas an annual event. It was an opportunity for presenters to meet up with other presenters and compare notes. All members of KRR are volunteers, and president of the group, Brent Barlow said it was a good way for the committee to thank everyone on behalf of the community for their dedication and commitment.

“Many of the programs really brighten up people's lives and inform them about what is happening in the district. We owe a lot to our volunteers,“ he said.

KRR holds two barbecues a year and both are free for members and their families. Community members are encouraged to join KRR. It's a good way to meet people even if you don't wish to become a presenter in the immediate future. Membership fees are just $20 per person, $50 for a family and $10 concession or school age.
